Our Pastor
Fr. Leon Kler was born in Zebowice, in the province of Opole, Poland, in 1961. He was ordained a priest in Poland on June 17, 1987. After his ordination he became an assistant pastor in Catholic Parish of Our Lady Queen of Peace in Wroclaw, Poland. In 1990 he came to Canada. First few years he worked among native people in Northwest Territories and between 1995 and 2007 he was a pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in Sexsmith and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Bezanson. In April of 2007 he became a Pastor of St. Emeric Hungarian Catholic Parish in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. In June of 2009 he became a pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Killam, Alberta. He serves also these churches: St. Martin Catholic Church - Heisler (AB) * Our Lady of the Prairies Church - Daysland (AB) * St. Boniface Historical Church - Spring Lake * St. Peter Historical Church - Strome. In addition he serves the following communities: Bawlf - Forestburg - Galahad - Hardisty - Rosalind - Strome. All his priestly life he was involved in pastoral work.
